Paint box and perspective

This week we got our paint boxes out and tried to see it all in perspective. This meant I had to explain exactly what perspective was and try to get it into our drawings. So I had a great work sheet with one point perspective and eye levels and horizons. We drew our paint tins for our one point perspective drawings and then used them to play with colour and water and understand our horizons. Water colours are very watery and we all need practice on how to use them……by using a very simple image a horizon, I hope each week we will build on these colours layer by layer. I hope that with our drawing outside the studio we can connect the imagined landscape in our heads or the horizon drawing with the real landscape we can see around us. Lets see if we can……..
